best coffeeshops to enjoy a beer and smoke ?

Post by cornish pixie »

Hi there all just trying to get some recommendations on which coffeeshops you can enjoy a ice cold beer with a smoke. In the evenings i quite enjoy a beer along with a joint. Im not a huge drinker but now and again enjoy the odd glass and lets not forget Amsterdam beer is mighty tasty. so if anyone could give me some info on best places and best prices it would be very welcomed :D

Coffeeshops are not permitted to sell both on the same premises, this has been in place for around 2 years nearly i guess, mostly because of people mixing them and whiteying - (underestimate weed+alchohol combined)

but many places (bars) allow smoking inside so it might be best to get pick your favourite weed and then find a nice bar :)

Coffeeshops can't serve weed & alcohol. There are several smoker bars around town. 't Nes just off Dam Square and the bar next to 420 allow smoking. Here is a thread that may help https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5605

coffeeshops now sell only weed, they cannot sell alcohol as well

bars that sell alcohol cannot sell weed too

what you are looking for is a smoker-friendly bar of which there are many in amsterdam

there have been many posts in this forum about smoker-friendly bars and maybe someone can remember which are the best

one smoker-friendly bar is barney's uptown, another is 't nes cafe

Eventually, I want to try and get as many smoker friendly places plotted on my map as well as all the coffeeshops. I prefer a beer with a smoke myself so I'm happy to plot these places down sometime.

Thanks people I'm mainly just going to visit coffeeshops but last time I visited the dam was 2001 so I'm prepared for change. I guess the changes are for the best as some people find it difficult to way up their limit whilst drinking and toking. Barney metioned above seems a safe bet. :)

That would be a great addition to your map, Trance. (I've already used it to scope out a few places for my trip next April.)

I think they separated the licenses because they said it created impulse drug purchasing.

Cheap and cheerful, could do with a lick of paint and some terse stoner guy from NI runs it. Often regarded as a 'ray of fucking sunshine' or 'that cnut' by his special friends. :D

Impulse buying !!!! God how many coffeeshops have we all been in and can't make up your mind so you buy a gram of each !!! Don't need alcohol to do that !!!!! I guess drinking and smoking can just mess alot of people up !!! I know people who can smoke loads or drink loads but when indulging in both just fucks them up. I think a beer n a joint is ok but you jus gotta watch yourself.

Hmmm... yeah if you dont mind shelling out over 5euros for a pint. Nes Cafe is always a good bet and there are loads of smaller smoker friendly bars dotted about that wont charge the earth.
