Amsterdam Escape are looking after us well as usual. They've given me this MacBook laptop in the apartment with some kind of WiFi connection so I can log in here. I'm just about getting the hang of it now.

They've also given us a Volcano that I haven't even tried yet. There was a bag of Cheese and one of White Widow waiting for us. What nice people!

Ohm Sweet Ohm and Bleak turned up at the Nes last night. They both live here now but Ohm is from UK and Bleak from Australia. We had a serious session with DC and, speaking for myself, consumed too much beer! It's very hot here at the moment so beer was thirst quenching but intoxicating.

Ohm was talking about seeing some bands in Vondel Park on Sunday and going out on his boat. It sounds great. Hope we can all get it together.

Faithless tonight. I gather Netherlands are playing Brazil in the World Cup this afternoon. I hope NL win bcause it will make a great atmosphere in town. DC was saying that there is a place where you can see gigs in the Westerpark without going in and that many are going to watch Faithless like that. He was also suggesting we get back down to the Nes after the gig.

No sign of the others in town last night, like Cisco, DaveS, Back2thedam and Bluming. Maybe we'll catch up with them at some point. With all this kit in the apartment we could have a good a party here.

Was really good to meet you all last night. I'm looking forward to Sunday. Bleak may be joining us too. I could come and pick you up on the boat somewhere by your apartment and then we can park it at mine as it's right by Vondelpark?

Here's the programme for the weekend at Vondelpark.. Not sure who the bands are, I'd still enjoy the classical in that setting

Good to hear your already having a good time!! Am looking forwrd to watching the footy after, hope NL win. Shame i am not out there today to watch it, bet the place will be buzzing!!!! Yeah 'the place' is actually just the rest of the park. The venue is open air so anybody chillin in the park gets to enjoy it.

Good to see ya as usual Lemming, how many beers do ya think ya had..4?.

Nice meeting Ohm the boat tease luky git and Bleak aswell, give me a shout anytime ya's come in.

Glad to see you're starting it out with a bang (or should I say bong? lol) and surrounding yourself with good people. Enjoying the report so far, make sure you let us know about your buys and tries. It's getting noisy outside - I think they won!

J says I never take her shopping in Amsterdam so we've been around the shops today. Popped into Rokerij 4 in Jordaan earlier. Got some nice Laughing Buddha for 9 euros/g. Got a few photos in there too.
