Hell yeah, bang on!
I buy loads of them on the 5th November (UK, firework night)
Once got into trouble with the Police when I was a teenager for setting off a professional thunderflash, the ones that ignite by batteries and not by flame. Only got cautioned, but it set off way too many alarms on nearby buildings as they are seriously loud and not available to the public.

Love to get a bunch of some proper firecrackers, but they are illegal in the UK but seem tons of them in Amsterdam on the Chinese new year festivities. Awesome stuff.

Thanks to my Catholic background i could never celebrate November 5th.

However my first school trip to france more than made up for this.

I know those fireworks, all those different sized red ones
I reckon if you strung enough of them together, you could probably make a good bunch of firecrackers like the Chinese use, but it would probably cost a bit. Any excuse to set fireworks off and I'm there. Amsterdam on new years eve looks like insane fun for me, after checking out a load of vids.

Anyone know if the public can buy bunches of firecrackers in Amsterdam?
Trouble is, how would I get them back to the UK anyway.....damn it!

Great stuff. The best I can get are those thunderflashes that are set in the ground and electrically set off, used by film and television companies but not sold in shops. The best shop bought are those typical 100 shot, air bomb, barrage repeaters. Still good and still loud or we can get agriculture bird scarer's here in the UK countryside farmer shops, called Rookies, designed to frighten off rooks from fields.
