Great stuff. The best I can get are those thunderflashes that are set in the ground and electrically set off, used by film and television companies but not sold in shops. The best shop bought are those typical 100 shot, air bomb, barrage repeaters. Still good and still loud or we can get agriculture bird scarer's here in the UK countryside farmer shops, called Rookies, designed to frighten off rooks from fields.
those are called thunder kings here i think.

the most popular things in my area are reloadable shells and of course the federally banned illegal fireworks, m80's, quarter- half sticks(they are called half sticks but no where near as powerful as a stick of tnt). most powerful thing iv heard was probably a half or 3/4 stick that i could literally feel about 250 feet away. also had some salute rockets with a shell on the end the size of a softball/snowglobe.

i got a bunch of crap from a neighbor last night for setting off a traditional Chinese firecracker. little red tube about 2 inches long with red paper/tissue out the top. small red flash then a big boom that set off a car alarm in my neighborhood and left a nice flash mark on the pavement.

educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Fireworks in the UK wasn't so strict years ago. I remember a mate buying some insane Chinese fireworks when we were teenagers. Trouble is, the instructions were in Chinese so it was a case of lighting the fuse and not knowing what was going to happen. About 8 of us were all looking down on this particular firework he bought, set it alight, but the fuse wasn't slow burning and just a load of gun powder wrapped in paper. Of course it lit the main firework too quick and we all ran but the bloody firework shot out red balls horizontally along the ground and we were all trying to run and dodge them. What a laugh, if not stupid stuff. Wish I had some video of that one.
