other place was a gay hells angels hangout..i blew coffee out of my nose when the big giant gay biker called his motorcycle a motorscooter...my girl at the time way back then almost broke his arm when he touched her shoulder...3rd degree judo blackbelt she was...ah, good memories :wink:

I remember a shop called Moonray, dont know where, been there back in the 80s.

It's a shame when you lose any shops, although obviously some are more missed than others.
Although I obviously never bought weed from La Canna it was a nice big space where you could always find a seat with no pressure to buy smoke and the drinks prices were never as sky high as the likes of Grasshoper which I refuse ever to set foot in again after being charged 4euros for a small plastic cup of water a few trips back.
I whiled away a few hours sitting on the stools by the big window looking over niuwendijk on the 2nd floor of La Canna back in the day, was a good people watching spot.
