This seems to be the most logical step or am I missing something here?

if i understood a single word of that id agree

Yeah that's a good idea, would be easier for people to find rather than going through threads. I created a separate Google account just for this map, so I can give out the login to an admin if they want for updates or whatever.

Sorry about that. Got a bit geeky there.
All I mean is to embed the entire Netherlands coffeeshop Google map within a web page on the ACD site in a frame.

The only uncertain part I actually have no idea about is if Google maps would allow or have anything to do with this. Their adsense small print states, no promotion of alcohol or drugs, etc, but no idea what would happen here, if anything at all, but it did just cross my mind.

There's coffeeshops listed on the public version of Google maps so I don't see how this is any different. Adsense is not on the same page as the map, I don't think this site uses Adsense at all. Plus I mean with the streetview they're actually out there taking pictures of the coffeeshops themselves or have people do it for them and they allow that.

I had this done since my phone has a GPS app so wherever I'm at I can just quickly pull up the map and find out the nearest coffeeshop anywhere I'm at in NL. I'm going for 3 months so I'm not going to be in the same place all the time so maybe not everybody needs GPS.

So, what I found out was that in the Google Apps to see the map and use the GPS you have to sign in to the map. If you want to do that, PM me and I'll send the file to you with all the coffeeshops to import into your own custom Google map.

All this general Google map stuff is wonderful. It gives you everything you want but roaming charges would diligently soon mount up. Having social sharing apps like Footprints or Buzz on your phone that Geo Tags live photos, comments, ratings directly onto Google maps on the fly, is ok, just as much as the app Latitude where it displays/shares current location using the phones GPS and map. This is the future, this is Smartphones and Despite owning a Smartphone, I don't use these apps due to roaming charges. Besides all that, Smartphones can easily turn you into a screen slave all day getting overly involved with all these apps that takes Google maps a step further if a Smartphone owner. But it's all very cool stuff, nonetheless.

The prepaid internet access deals are pretty good over there. I actually already ordered a Vodafone prepaid sim card from ebay. My phone is unlocked so as soon as I arrive I just have to switch the sim in the phone and I'll get instant access.

Vodafone is offering unlimited internet access for 4.50 euro this month for a special deal but, normally it's 9.50 euro and still not bad. (it's not really unlimited - they cap you if you exceed the 'fair usage policy' but, overall would defiantly be cheaper than roaming charges)

If you're going to take the time to point out something incorrect, I'd appreciate if you could provide the correct address so that I can update it.
I don't see hotel cornerhouse on the map at all. Do they sell weed in the cafe at the cornerhouse? This map is supposed to be only for coffeeshops that sell weed.

checked out the google street view of 'Happy Family' in Groningen - and due to construction - it's not visible.

Here's a pic. The name on the front is a little different.

and to repeat...
