Sales Tax

Post by weedhog »

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but couldnt decide which was the right one...
Anyway, Do resturaunts, grocery stores or coffee shops charge a sales tax on purchases? If so how much is it? I know theres a local tourist tax for Hotels (except mines included with apartment). Thanks for any responses.

nope definatly not. the price of things in menus/on the shelf is what you pay. i dont know of anyhwhere in eurpoe that does it.

that sales tax thing was a right pain when i went to visit my uncle in Georgia. stuff that cost exactly 5 or 10 dollars on the shelf for example, would end up costing a few cents more and you end up with loads of change.

The only extra tax thingy is the city tax to pay on checkout.
