Toke & Talk @ Paradox, on Friday, August 20th, 4:15 p.m.

Post by titus wong »

Hey there,

If yer not doing anything, come to my Toke & Talk at the Paradox coffeeshop. I'll be the one with the pleasantly surprised expression on his face.

FBN: Travelling with a buddy of mine, username yet undetermined, and will be in AMS from August, the 18th through to the 23rd. TY. You are a saint.

P.S. Always pleased to meet ACDers but reserve the right to split after an hour if no one shows. Know you'll understand!

You and your Toke & Talk have been posted on the August Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=32535

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

That's the number 1 win in my T&T book:

As I see it a Toke and Talk is a win, win, win situation.

1. Nobody shows up. You have spent an hour in a coffeeshop of your choice.
This goes in my win column.

2. One or more people show up. You meet some new friends in a great atmosphere.
Yep, another win.

3. Everyone in town shows up and it turns into a coffeeshop crawl.
This might be the biggest win of all.

To ID yourself something as simple as a rolling paper with your user name written on it and
stuck to the front of your shirt/coat will work.

I print the Toke and Talk graphic at the top of a sheet of paper.
When I get where I'm going I fold it into a v shape and stand it on the table or bar.
Use the bottom of the page to get folks to "sign in" and have yourself a one of a kind souvenir.
And be able to post an accurate trip report.

Enjoy

:) :) Don't hit them too hard, at their age they might need a hand back up :) :) . seriously I haven't listened to them for many moons, but loved them back in the dim and distant 8) .

TW, if you see a couple of old folks stumble in to your T&T chances are it will be me and the duchess. (or Little Feat :o )
What a long strange trip it is.

Awesome. 2 AMS vets coming 2 my t&t. Add some tasty smoke, a pleasant venue, and we should get some terrific convo going. Looking forward to meeting the lovely young lady, Spidergawd.

We'll save a spot for you and the missus code. 8) Wuz thinking of going to the Little Feat show myself, but couldn't justify it in the end cuz I jus' know that 1 song. You know, the good one.
