Recommendation for coffeeshop with nice outdoor area

Post by pug1010 »

Hi all:)

On my way back to Amsterdam and it's my first time in summer, so would love to have a local where I can relax, smoke and sit outside in a nice atmosphere. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

pug:)

My favourite outdoor terrace of the moment is HSB@markt on Nieuwmarkt...

pug - Bluebird has a twilight zone pinball machine but at 1 eu a go it is not cheap.
Also if you know your pinball twilight zone is already a difficult pinball game made even more difficult by it's tendancy to be in a poor state of repair - which this one is slightly but still very playable.
How much did you produce?

I'm going to risk a shoutout for the Green House Centrum located on the OZV. There a lot of GH haters out there but I've always found their terras to be the most delightful. It's a large one and in the warmer months, there are plenty of street performers and musicians plying their craft. Usually, they're on the other side of the canal so you pretty much watch them for free!
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

my suggestion is yo-yo in De Pijp area which is out from the centre so quieter

yo-yo is also a gallery so the place is spacious light and airy ... there are tables out in front and you can sit there and watch the people going by with their shopping and be amused by the school children playing across the street

they also have an apple tart that i think is one of the best in amsterdam

lovely place ...

be careful of the opening hours though ... 12 noon to 8pm

No offence but i was just not comfartable sitting outside at Yo-Yo due to the kiddies playpark right outside ! ok weed may be tolerated but to be honest im not that comfartable sitting drinking alcohal if there are kiddies around too .

Maybe sounds strange but thats my opinion

Stay safe and be lucky
