Hello

Post by bubblebelly »

Hi guys, I just joined the forum, but have been lurking for a few weeks. I used to go to A'dam at least once a year for at least three weeks, but marraige and kids put a stop to that. Well, this year I get to visit again after 6 years. Even better, it will be three buddies of mine and myself only. We are going from October 30-November 7. We are stoked to be staying in a 3 story apartment right by Baba and The Grasshopper. If anyone plans on being there around the same time as us and wants to meet up, let us know!

Welcome to the forum. I'll miss you by a couple of weeks, sure you'll have a blast! Want to share some info on that apartment, looking for something for my next trip.

Peace,
Balou

The apartment is actually one of the Amsterdam Cribs apartments, "Sativa", and is located at Warmoesstraat 61. For the four of us it cost 1460 USD. Not bad at all, considering the prime location! They have lots of apartments available, and Duke is a really nice (and accomodating) guy.

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the October and November Whos In Town pages.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=49230

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You should do a day trip to Haarlem.
Here is some of your research done for you.

Haarlem Coffeeshop Map.

Enjoy

Have a great time and welcome to the board!
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

welcome to the forum

i know you are a veteran of amsterdam, but i just want to double-check that you and all three buddies of yours have each read the document How not to get hit by a bike from the excellent S G Collins website recommended by FlyByNite

if all of you have already read the document, then thanks, but if not, then please please read before you arrive to ensure your safety in the crazy amsterdam traffic, and thanks

it is only 3 or 4 pages when printed, then you can take a copy for the journey as something to read before you hit the streets again

hope you all have a great and safe trip ...

Thanks for being so kind everyone. What else should I expect from a board full of stoners though, right? :D I have not read the "How not to get hit by a bike" article, but I have learned how not to get hit by a bike through experience. As an American, the first time I got hit I was pissed and had no idea I was at fault. Incredibly embarassing  I WILL, however, print out copies for my friends, though I have warned them multiple times. Thanks for the suggestions!

I let her go on a few trips with friends and family over the past year so this is my reward. Besides, she's cool anyways and she trusts me. Everytime someone hears about my trip they respond exactly the same way, minus the helmet party statement

Nice to meet you Trad, thanks for the compliment (?) but unfortunately the name fits

I hope some of us can get together in Amsterdam when I'm there, I always enjoy meeting new people!!
