Not used to being a noob

Hello
I run two large forums, and am involved in hundreds of websites...
Ive not joined a new one in a LONg time!
Anyway....
Im 26, from the east midlands in england
I run my own business, and live in a little house with my fiancee and our dog
Ive smoked weed for about 10 years, and have never been to dam!
Im planning on taking a break from the weed for a year or two, as i no longer wish it to be such a large part of my life.
BUT
I cant quit, without visiting the capital.
Our flights are booked on the 26th december, and we are there for 4 days.
No hotels booked, no idea where the good weed is at..
And i'd love some advice from real people who have been many times and know the best spots etc
We're sightseeing too, so please mention any non-weed related places also
Thanks in advance

What type of accomodation are looking for? Budget?

Some of my favorite shops are Greenplace, Resin, Basjoe, 1e Hulp and Paradox just to name a few. They all can be found in the directory at the top of the page.

Depending on the weather, a stroll through Vondelpark. If you or the misses are into museums, the Van Gogh, Dutch Resistance or Anne Frankhuis. Don't know if you drink, even if you don't, 't Nes is a great place to chill out.
Peace,
Balou

Hello mate and welcome.
Good luck coming off the green. I tried it and failed.
Anyway now for the good stuff....
Check out vondlepark. Kick back here and watch the world go by.
Or Rembrandtplein. here there are clubs, bars, and places to eat that are half decent. also here is smokey the coffee shop and the bushdoctor.
Definately check out Spui. Here you will find the dampkring coffee shop. 1 of my favourates.can be a nightmare to find.
Also Jordaan is a good up and coming funky area with some cool bars and coffee shops.
Do the canalride thing-she will love that.also rent a bke but i'd recomend not being stoned and doing it.
I could go on all day as im a reg over there and love going back time and time again and you will probably find it the same.
My fav coffee shops r ;-
Dampkring,Rokerij,Easy times,Greenhouse,Barneys, basjoe, greenplace, hill street blues, stones cafe, mellow yellow and many many more lol

enjoy! It's the best place on this planet...
have a look at the food section on this forum, nice to get inspired.
Coffeshops are reviewed a lot in this form too, watch the reviews!
It's hard to make suggestions I don't know your liking, some value the music more, some value the goodies more another watches the prices.
Look arround and make your decision when you see how the atmosphere is at the moment in the specific shop.
take a map! all places are easy to reach when you know where you are.
but it's very easy to walk in circles.
a good map besides the ACD map is made by TRANCE also a member of this forum:

Coffeshop menues can be pre-/reviewed here on FlyByNite's webside:

don't get lost and watch the bikes and the ice on the bridges!!!

It depends what you like... both in terms of the weed, and the type of atmosphere/location you wanna smoke it in. Do you have a preference for indica, sativa? Couchlock or hyperactive? Or, just some good weed of any type??
My fave CS's at the moment -
Anyday - amazing varied menu, reasonable prices for the center, upstairs chillout room, VERDAMPERS!! (big glass vaporizers). Honey Dew is always amazing from here. I would also recommend the Jamaican High Grade, Durban Poison, Alegria Haze, and the Grapefruit if they have it (one of the best if you like citrus/lemony strains)
Grey Area - can be a takeaway-only place sometimes, as it gets too busy. But I like their quality control, the buds at GA are always top shelf in every respect. Some of their stuff is quite pricy, like 13 to 15 euros, but they also have cheaper options like the Grey Haze which is wonderful stuff, and actually really good value.
There are plenty more places I could mention!!

Kind of last minute but.
You have been posted on the December
Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=49323
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.
How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.
You can do a little practice shopping on the
Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Enjoy
