Cereal,

Post by Sir Niall of Essex-sire »

Fuck me, i've been known to like a munch from time to time and have recently discovered the beauty of Cereal at a time like this ( please keep in mind a i can't cook so all the ' Thai style beef with etc.' isn't so helpful for me.) I've come to this conculsion mainly because of two things;

1) The Curious Cinnamon cereal, this is the shiz-nit and well worth an investment!

Image

2) In case this hasn't been brought up before, i come from Irish stock; this means that i have a love of mash potato, tea, eating, potato cakes and dance music. But more importantly, i have friends in America who are Irish ( well their Grandads Grandad was ) so when i was there i made many friends. And one of those Nationality confused fuckers sent me a pack of this..

And bollocks to a barn dance, this stuff is unreal. It's seriously sweet and fucking awesome munch.

The miss's goes away tomorrow, i have to fend for myself, i shall be going to ASDA tonight to stock up on cereal...

Suggestions please?

I can't eat cereals, I just can't ever eat anything in the mornings, even a piece of toast is too much work for me and always last all day until tea time until I eat proper.

Talking of cinnamon based snacks. When you're next in A'dam, go to Geels & Co tea shop (opposite Baba coffeeshop) and get these awesome Dutch sweets called Kaneel Stokjes. I always buy 4 or 5 bags to take home. Great with a tea or coffee and they look like this.......

I cant eat before midday and even as a munchie I rarely eat cereal, I used to live off Ready Brek when I was a kid though - loved the stuff.

They are pieces of soft but crunchy candy/sweets.
There is a dusting of powdered cinnamon on them and you either crunch on them or let the whole thing slowly melt in your mouth. You only need 1 or 2 with a coffee or tea as they are very sweet. Other places sell them but I get mine from Geels & Co just before retuning home and only eat 2 or 3 pieces a day myself with a tea (no sugar), instead of biscuits.

i go through stages, il like corn flakes for a couple of months, then i went to cheerios then to them curiously cinnamon (lovely but very sweet), then went to rice krispies then to shreddies & now im back on the rice krispies & ocassionaly some porridge (with milk & sugar of course :lol: )
funny thing is when i go off a cereal i really go of it, like now i wont eat cheerios if u paid me,but come next month il probably be bang into em again :lol:
&cantona, i used to love lucky charms as a kid, but now u gotta get em imported from the states & its proper expensive, selfridges sell em for an extortionate price, 1good thing that comes out of not eating US cereals is not bombarding ourselves with GM maize :wink:
+as im talking about US food, any1 have Cattlemans BBQ sauce? easily THE BEST BBQ SAUCE ON THE PLANET, sainsburys used to sell it but not anymore :cry: the honey bbq was my fav, f**k it i might just import a batch :D
