great way to use cfls...heats down..easy to handle...in a closet ok too....but cfls get eaten up in a room garden..i recon ya would need 10 of em in a 10 by 10 room...imstoned right now so if anyone knows what im talkin about keep it to yerself :wink: ...im typing out loud...you could definitly keep one person happy with one of those oven things

Those fans just don't last long if left on 24/7. So I'd buy a few. or jsut use small pc fans designed to be left on.. Longest I had one of these USB fans working was 3 months... my missus buys me a couple for my xmas box every year now.. :D

This is some good info, thanks hulldj.

After reading this post, I looked at the pics of the fans and the fan without the housing does look a little flimsy. The one in the housing looks to be rather solid, so I suppose looks can be deceiving? :lol:

I've never personally used a USB fan, but when I saw these the first thing I thought of was a micro grow. I agree that computer fans are better suited, as you stated they are designed to run 24/7/365.
