Driving in China.

Crazy stuff, bet they believe their Gods will always protect them regardless, hence the complete nonchalance on the road.
btw, link strangely wouldn't work my end
but saw it via another route.

iv been to Thailand on 2 diff occasions and damn..traffic isn't even the right word. during rush hr on big roadsin Bangkok ..like sukhumvit its just at almost a standstill aside from people on motor bikes and motor cycle taxis buzzing through. you move maybe once every 10 mins. didn't notice the drivers in shanghai or Beijing to be very crazy. went to Dalian but didn't get a good look there.balou1999 wrote:![]()

Peace,
Baloubut mates keep taking the piss out of me that I couldn't handle the temperature and heat. How bad actually is it? Some say it's so bad that even walking short distances takes it out of you and to just get rickshaws everywhere as it's that bad.
yjrtr ste two types of weather in the thailand/singapore/vietnam area. the types are
a.hot
and
b.very hot
if your not used to temps in the 30's to 40's with 100% humidity bangkok and Thailand may not be enjoyable. one things for sure stay at a modern hotel with air conditioning and a pool. or go to a beach town so u can swim.

A friend who's been said it's advisable once you've scored some weed there is to stroll out into the sea to waist depth and smoke your joint there in case the shit hits the fan you can swim off elsewhere. Yes I can swim btw, but the law is strict apparently and this was in Phuket, which I would like to check out while in Thailand as well.

Yeah it definitely is. I heard they raid clubs at night and drug-test people on the spot. The gov is corrupt and heard that they sell clean urine at the same time/place. Also, heard they're known to extort money out of foreigners by setting them up, like some dealers will set you up and turn you in to the cops. I really want/wanted to go to Thailand but, hearing about that stuff is making me put it off.TRANCE wrote: the law is strict apparently and this was in Phuket, which I would like to check out while in Thailand as well.
Traveled to Phuket and Ko Phi Phi for two weeks back in 2008 with the ex. In Phuket we had a villa right on the water and would sit on the dock toking damn near all day. We bought a pound of some pretty good shit for like $40. Granted we were situated in a cove away from all the resorts and the host hooked us up.And we avoided most of the bars like the plague because all of the prostitution. In Ko Phi Phi we smoked on the balcony again with no problems. never tried smoking out on the beach with all the tourist as there are police about everywhere. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard getting some through one of the many English or Australian backpackers.abcdabcd wrote:Yeah it definitely is. Edit: BTW if you do meet a nice Thai "girl", make sure she is a natural one! Our driver told us that the will not tell you that were boys.

One things clear after watching that video, China definitely needs more stop signs. Everybody just flies through unmarked intersections without even looking for traffic. The people on the bikes need to pull their heads out of their ass too. I didn't see one bicyclist turn their head to check for traffic. Looks like the Chinese have got alot to learn about safety on the road with everyone getting cars these days. I wonder how good their drivers education system is seeing as though the people teaching drivers ed probably just started driving themselves. It's probably a bit like the blind leading the blind.
