chic and basic anyone been?

hi guys was wondering if anyone had been read some good reviews but nothing about smoking any info would be appreciated :lol: booked it for the 30th aug

Thanks for the reminder that I never updated an older post with a follow up review. I sent the following in a PM regarding the same and I did not smell anyone smoking while there. There was a small terrace you could maybe use...

The room we stayed in had a private bathroom and supposedly was the largest on the top (attic) floor. I imagine if you have a shared bathroom it will be one of the singles on the lower floors, which appeared cramp but not out line with most hotels in Amsterdam.

Doesn't seem like you could get away with smoking in the rooms, but Siberie is right around the corner and Barney's, Dampkring, etc on the haarlemstraat are a very close walk.

The only other down side was the front entrance required someone be at the front desk to buzz you in whether you are staying there or not. This led to us waiting a few minutes once or twice.
