Embraman Aug 9-13, with a twist................

First the twist,as it affects our upcoming trip.............................
Got in from work recently, having blew away the work blues with a nice cheese joint and cycle home on the canal,as soon as my key hit the door Embralady(a non toker said "wtf is that"
"just a wee cheese joint ,can u smell it?"
"never mind,u will need it,i got some news"
Shit who's died, who,a milllion thoughts trying to fight past the cheese, starting to panic
"I'M PREGNANT"   gulp
Holy shit, didn't know what to say, neither did Embralady, sat in shock trying to comprehend.
I'm 35,wife 30 and kids were never a big issue due to work, not being financially secure before, but mainly cause of our two beloved cats who died last year at 13 and 14,might be weird to some but they were a big part of our lives(we stay at home a lot, saving for trips)
We decided to let fate take over and here we are, didn't really see it coming, lived a fairly indulgent, selfish life till now, guessing thats going to change.
It's gonna change our plans too,as we usually just shop(wife) and smoke(me),walking around all day, taking shelter in bars and CS when the rain comes, after so many trips weve done all the tourist crap, just praying for good weather so can sit out on the terraces, also planned to go to/host a t'n't but not be able to now.
Still planning on getting to a few new shops(De Gral,Papillion,Boerejongens,Ocean,as well as the usuals ,Paradox,Club Media,Green Place,Hunters,HGF)
Gonna try to stick to a bit of a budget, and find nice weed deals around 10 euro, thanks to all for all the recent info on shops and deals.
Will try to update but said that in May and didn't get online as much as planned due to stonedness,no access, wife being pissed off"you read that enough at home!"and just now with the extra hormones her cheek/sarcasm level is off the scale lol
(Think DC with toothache and yer still not close,no offence meant DC :wink:i like yer style)
Still looking forward to it,5 full days(500 euro for 2 with flights and Eden hotel-Expedia) and will be cutting down frequency of our visits so this will be last trip for a while :( .
Say hello if you see us (we'll be the ones sitting outside Nes most nights, the shocked/still stunned looking couple, just dont walk past Embralady with a Vodka/Strawberry looza, she may succumb and rip it and yer arm off ye,you've been warned!
Peace,Embraman

Prolly. I wouldn't worry though -- any trepidations and misgivings will evaporate once the little tyke arrives and the two of you will go balmy over it.

You have been posted on the August Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=45210

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Enjoy

Since I have four (three now grown), I think I may provide a few good tidbits.

1. Newborns outgrow their wardrobes faster than they can wear the clothes - instead ask for different sized diapers as shower gifts i.e. small and medium. Diapers are expensive so it would help a lot with money after the baby is born when you need it the most.

2. Everything goes up the nose, in the mouth and occasionally the ears - get used to it.

3. Their little minds think electrical sockets are keyholes - plug them up.

4. Animalistic sex was a thing of the past. At this point you can only hope it will be part of your future again in the next 3 years. If it was never 'animalistic', you're in big trouble.

5. Humans are not allowed to eat their young. Useful information after #4.

6. The days of complaining because you have to get up at 6 am are over... replaced with 2 am.

7. Your conversations will now consist of the color and odor of baby poop.

8. Don't be surprised if you find yourself rocking back and forth while standing and talking with coworkers.

9. When you make a threat, always follow through with the consequences stated - unless it had anything to do with #5.

And... CONGRATULATIONS! Honestly, I can't imagine life without my children as they enrich it a hundred fold. Just remember that something worth anything takes hard work; the most enjoyable hard work you'll ever have when it comes to being a parent. One smile from your little one and the whole world lights up!!! It's truly magical and I wish you and your wife a healthy, happy baby. 8)
