A reasonable question if I may, which strains would those be?
Serious seeds AK47, Growdocs Bubbledust, Angeldust and Mummia have all been known to AF from time to time, to be honest I've read quite a few grows where strains with zero ruderalis have been known to autoflower.

No I think you can get regular seeds as well.

I like the smoke as do many others, the flower power from Barneys i grew was one of the stinkiest plants I've ever grown.

I understand that there are people who are unable to grow indoors due to various circumstances, myself currently included. However...

I understand the concept of being able to grow a plant outdoors in less than 120 days as compared to the typical 160+ days, but when compared to growing indoors under HID's or a combination of in/out, why bother? The yield alone would be worth investing in proper equipment.
Example:
My indoor grow set up costs approximately 300e
Five seeds was approx. 80e
Nutrients approx. 25e
Electricity approx. 280e
Total investment approx 700e.
My heaviest cured harvest was approx. 590gms with a street value of approx. 7000e, that's SEVEN THOUSAND EUROS. How about those apples?  That's 7000e in my pocket and not that of dealers or partially wasted growing AF. Just saying....

Windowsill weed, one would be very lucky to have a cured harvest weight of more than 20 possibly 25 grams per plant under perfect conditions, not to mention that the potency won't be all that, comparatively speaking.

To each their own and happy farming to all.
Plant the seed and grow the weed.
I have some weed, so I'm a 'kind' friend indeed.
Hey Ron ,, some window sills are just as good as greenhouses and if given the same care as they would receive in your greenhouse ,, they will do just as well ,, I would not try to tell somone that they could only get 25 grams on their plant ,, depends how big their window sill is ,, the size of the plant ,, the care it receives ,, bla bla ... ya know what I mean.. I bet I could get a pound from one grown through the right window ...

Agree 100%, except in the case of AF's.

I could start posting links to hundreds of sites like this one, http://www.dutchbreed.com/8.html that state a yield of 30gms, 50gms in optimal conditions. Then there are the grow forums where people have stated that they have averaged 20-25 grams. Pick and choose whom to believe, still doesn't compare to an indoor grow, all things considered.

If AF suits the need, go forth, be happy, plant the seed, and grow the weed.

garbage...thats my opinion

well I have always thought that ,, think they are posting pictures of some other buds and saying they are auto strains ?? If I happen upon a few seeeds one day I`ll give em a try outside..
be tough to beat the normal ,, used to put about 50 cuttings outside around the end of july to first week in august ,, this would result in pretty nice harvest of approx 60-80 grams per plant by mid october ... these would surely out perform and cost less than some autoflower mutants.. IMHO

The AFs are good for outdoor as you can maybe get two or three harvests per season rather than one , they are also good for people that dont have space for a proper size indoor grow .

This is what I have been reading/hearing from those who write/say they have grown AF. Most of the opinions are in the area of convenience, size, maintenance (or lack there of), and the mild buzz. Nothing to fault there. Even if there were, to each their own.

If the mad scientists continue to develop the potency of these strains, I just might give them a try, as a side project. One never knows...
