I don't care what drugs you take, but think for a minute where you are and what you are asking. Most of the replies to your thread are against what you are asking. Wonder why? This is a forum mostly about weed and definitely not about hard drugs.

Again, I'm not judging you for what you ingest but rather where you are searching. This is not the place.

Appreciate your sentiments Ron. I'm primarily a weed smoker (though only in amsterdam,) so this won't be brought up again. Like you said, maybe this wasn't a subject to talk about on these forums.

I may have been somewhat harsh, but given the subject... If you will permit me, I will elaborate.
My reasons (excuses?) for my tone is first and foremost because I care about people. I do give a shit, I do give a damn. For those who don't, won't, or can't understand where I'm coming from, and you know who you are, three very special words just for you - go fuck yourself. ':twisted:'
The other reason, and almost as important, has to do more with my state of mind. Even though I'm not a resident or citizen of Amsterdam or The Netherlands, I feel a kinship to the Dutch people and their culture. With that comes my attitude about hard drugs, which is NIMBY, Not In My Back Yard.

I don't see the problem with asking for coke, a lot of people have started thread about extasy and shit and nobody have never complained, and IMO a pill of e is a lot worse 2 lines of coke (well I prefer e but the effects are really more powerful)

On a friday/saturday evening, there are usually people selling cocaine/mdma/speed on every street corner. If they think you're approachable i.e look like a tourist they will ask you if you want any. A friend of mine bought a g for 45 euro's and fuck me it was strong.

just be very careful, i used to hear all the time to avoid street dealers in AMS but, I never really thought much about it since I've been around this stuff for a while and figured only noobs would have a problem.

well, i learned a lesson on Wednesday, i was at a club in AMS and was approached by a person for some stuff i was interested in, went outside (i was drunk and not thinking about the worst at all), took my wallet out and the person snatched it from me and took off. since i was drunk and not really thinking, i tried to run after him and slipped and fell on the concrete and messed myself up, still recovering, my hands and knees are scratched up, bruised etc.. can hardly move.

i was prepared to be pickpocketed so thankfully, i kept my passport, drivers license and all other debit cards except for one debit card and an ID in the wallet I was carrying, which i canceled immediately when i returned.

in amsterdam they had to introduce a law against selling fake drugs. not that selling real ones is legal either. if you get caught selling fake drugs you get fined and banned from city center area for a while.

We got some pretty good coke on our third night just roaming around the RLD. Asked a taxi driver just chilling outside his cab. 70 euro for 1 gram. Was pretty good stuff. Only time I did coke during my time in Amsterdam though.

I have never bought coke in Amsterdam (Haven't used it in 20+ years)
I remember 10+ years ago the street dealers used to hassle me all the time to buy drugs "Cocaine,E,Viagra" ........ Now I haven't been hassles in YEARS ..... maybe cause things have changed ?? Maybe cause I am older ??? I don't know ?

drugs are drugs; they alter the mind trying to discriminate between them is like that scene from the original 'Airplane'; where an old lady is offered a drink of whisky from an old man sitting next to her. "certainly not!" she says... then does 2 huge lines of cocaine.

whilst i see your point i think you are missing the big one. the netherlands drug policy is to draw a clear line between soft drugs (eg weed, truffels) and hard drugs (ie coke, lsd, herroin ect).
i do agree that as you put it "drugs are drugs", but not all drugs are the same.

but they all have the same purpose.
