Hello to everyone, im of to amsterdam next week for 6 nights for my honeymoon and I am staying in the eden lancaster, has anybody on here ever stayed there? If so can anyone tell me what are they like in regards to smoking in the rooms?

Also i am slighty confused about the legality of magic mushrooms in amsterdam, can i still get them or not? I heard somewhere i can get them legally if they are fresh but not if they are dried (mah of been other way around, not sure), is this true? I also read that instead of mushrooms you can get truffles, which are apparently just as good, has anybody ever tried these and what are they like?

A bit of a corny thing to ask but does anyone no of any nice romantic hotspots i can take the wife to or any nice romantic restaurants i can take her to?

OMG that is absolutely terrible, if something like that happened to me it would ruin my whole break, i thought the safes where 100% safe in the hotel rooms. I reckon i should set up hidden cameras in my room and put a note on the safe telling whoever that i have set cameras so will know who it is if anything is stolen?????

Setting up a hidden cam seems like a lotta trouble. I think perhaps a money belt is in order in ur case...

yer you are probably rite...just dont fancy carrying obscene amounts of money around with me at all times thats all, maybe just the threat of a hidden camera will be enough of a deterent to any potential thieves. Even tho im sure that the theft mentioned above was probably just a one off incident by a dishonest/disgruntled employee, i have spent the afternoon doing various google searches and looking on different forums and no one else seems to have reported any thefts from safes from this hotel.

it happened on the 2nd day of a 3 week trip...and i couldnt change hotels...i also had problems with all the employees after the incident..seem accusing someone of theft creates resentment...oh well....just be care ful..ive never had anything happen like that in the world,so it was a heavy learning experience...i just carry my loot in my front pocket now so if ya want my pants we got a problem...lol
