hello

Post by Gerd »

Hi,

I'm new on this forum. I'm from Belgium and I'm planning to go to Amsterdam a couple of days in September.

A have a few questions though.
First of all, me and my friends have never been to a coffeeshop, so we don't really know how things go. Is there a sign with the choice you have and the price, or do you just ask what they got in store or...?

Second, we haven't smoked that much and I'm the only one who can roll (a bit); but we're not shure how much herb you put in a 'regular' joint. Is it 1gr, or 2 or...? And do they expect you to buy 5gr or can you just say 2gr of this and 1 of that (if 1gr is enough to roll a decent joint).

Thanks a lot!

Welcome ! there will usually be a menu where you choose what you want and the quantity , also as people stated depends how high you wanna get , do you mix with tobak ?

Also most bud tenders are worth an ask for advice , try stay away fi ready rolls , usually jus sugar leaf/shake

Things are pretty normal in coffeeshops, walk in, approach budtender/counter and ask to see the menu - lists of weed/hash are listed along with the price (see link above).

As you don't smoke very much and by the sounds of it you smoke pure, take it easy over there as you may find the weed fairly strong, if you're not so good at rolling it may be a good idea to purchase ready made cones - you will get these in the numerous headshops in the Dam. As for how much to put in - for me, I would I say a gram, maybe more depending on my mood :)

You don't have to buy 5grs you can buy 1 or 2 etc some will sell 0.5 but not many.

Have a read around some of the threads in this forum and it will definitely educate you further!

Enjoy, welcome and hello 8)

Thanks for the useful hints.
The forum has a lot of information that will help us indeed.
Yes, we mix tobacco with it, we are real newbies actually. A friend helped us to 5gr for 20 euro's, but he couldn't roll himself. So I 'learned' it from a tutorial on youtube. But it is quite hard to determine how much to put in and -we are quite chicken- so we didn't dare to put in much at once, i think by the time we ran out we'd probably made 20cones or more (divided over several months, we had exams etc.) and nobody had felt a lot of effect really.
So we decided to go to Amsterdam and do it right this time. :)

I have another question actually, is there anyone who knows if there is some sort of control when you go to Antwerp or Brussels by train? (dogs or something else at the entrance or at the borderstation or...)

If we like the smoke we'd want to take some home :)

thanks!
