Didn't know you made it a contest, Boner. From the title I surmised badbone asking about other members tattoos and was happy to join in the convo.Boner wrote:To be fair it doesn't matter what the subject is a shit tattoo is just that, yours is alright but it wouldn't win any awards.
Your post was alright, but it wouldn't win any awards.

I knew as soon as I pressed submit it might offend you and I do apologise if that was the case I'm just overly fussy about tattoos which is why I've not had one yet, the way I look at it is this, this piece of art work is going to be on my body for the rest of my life so I'd personally want the best I can possibly get, if the best costs me thousands then so be it.

No prob, Boner. Don't know if I was offended, but definitely taken aback. I understand the way you feel as I felt the same way all of my life, in fact I hated tattoos and said I'd never get one. When I turned 40 I decided I wanted to do something I said I'd never do... and did.Boner wrote:I knew as soon as I pressed submit it might offend you and I do apologise if that was the case I'm just overly fussy about tattoos which is why I've not had one yet, the way I look at it is this, this piece of art work is going to be on my body for the rest of my life

The thing about ink Boner, is that perfection don't exist. I knew a guy with the most righteous ink done. Absolutely standout shit. The thing is, it was all perfectly placed, and balanced, and colored.
The guy was a walking artwork.
But that's the thing. It looked too made up. Too planned. It took away from the nature of ink itself: a deeply personal expression.
All he looked like was a museum object. Great ink, but no spontaneity, no life, no essence. Ah well, my $0.02.
To the bong! Peace all.
