Hi, im currently on the look out for an apartment. Got a good deal on one but im not sure its genuine anyone living in amsterdam or in holland care to tell me what the proof of ownership certificate should look like?
The guy i have contacted has sent me a really dodgy looking one as proof he owns the apartment its also in english which i find a bit strange. Actually looks like he just done it in word an hour ago.

Majority of the apartment listings on Craigslist for Amsterdam are a scam. If they ask for a deposit up front, don't do it. You really should plan to meet the owner and view the apartment before you decide to rent it.

Global Transfers has quite a few large apartments. I wanted to use them last November but someone booked it before I could get my deposit in. Very professional, quick replies via email.

From what I've looked at so far, that is about average for a large 3 bedroom apartment in the Centrum for a serviced apartment.
