Hello freinds,

will be in town the 1st 1800 till the 6th 1200!
Solo this time, therefore I would be happy to meet some of you for a T&T.
I'm not shy, but meeting other members is more fun than talking to strangers.

Anyone to go for a meet? 8)

You have been posted on the September Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
There is one planned for the 4th.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=42333

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

Enjoy

As I see it a Toke and Talk is a win, win, win situation.

1. Nobody shows up. You have spent an hour in a coffeeshop of your choice.
This goes in my win column.

2. One or more people show up. You meet some new friends in a great atmosphere.
Yep, another win.

3. Everyone in town shows up and it turns into a coffeeshop crawl.
This might be the biggest win of all.

To ID yourself something as simple as a rolling paper with your user name written on it and
stuck to the front of your shirt/coat will work.

All I need is a date, time and coffeeshop and I'll post it.

Enjoy

Hi MagicFloyd,

it would be surely nice to meet you, I don't mind meeting Dam-Virgins.
I was a virgin too some years ago, first visit must have been 1996 but since three years I'm kind of addicted to this city.

- Not just to the smoke, more to the spirit of this wonderful place!

Well we could meet the 4th or the 5th I think, I'll go back the 6th at noon, and you'll arrive in town the 4th.

Lets meet the 4th, but what time? - make a suggestion, I'll start smoking with breakfast and won't stop the whole day!
The place? Depends of time of day! But I think you want to visit some of the famous shops like dampkring, barney's, greenhouse, abraxxas?
My only term is no T&T at bulldog or grasshopper!!!

Anywhere is fine with me. I plan on starting with breakfast and going as long as i can. Since youre the one with the experience ill let you pick the time place. I double checked and my plan lands at 8am, not 7 which I think I had said before, so by the time I get out of the airport with my luggage, catch a tram/train/taxi (havent decided), and drop off my stuff it may be 9:30 or so before im actually settled and ready to begin :)

just let me know what youd like to do.

Hi MagicFloyd,

as you arrive at Schiphol you can buy the following chipcard and come in town by train! Taxi is too expensive in Amsterdam and the taxis there have a bad reputation! Having a chipcard is the cheapest way to get around in town by tram, bus or nightbus!

Amsterdam All-in-1 Ticket - This ticket type is very useful for tourists coming by air as it includes a return ticket (2 singles) between Schiphol airport and Amsterdam as well as an unlimited travel pass for up to 4 days. This saves a little money off the train fare and you won't have to queue further for tickets.

24 hours (1 day) €13.20
48 hours (2 days) €17.25
72 hours (3 days) €20.85
96 hours (4 days) €24.45

This ticket can only be purchased at the Holland Tourist Information desk at Schiphol Airport near Arrivals Hall 2. They are open between 07:00 and 22:00.

Note, the Strippenkaart is no longer valid on public transport in Amsterdam.

Shops that are a must for the first visit maybe imo Greenhouse Centrum, Dampring near Spui, Abraxxas, Barney's
all this shops have a very fine interior! You must have been there at least once imo.

But there many other high class shops like Mellow Yellow, Amnesia, Barney's Lounge, Basjoe's, Green Place,
Russland, Grey Area (for take aways) HomegrowFantasy, Katsu, Hill Street Market, Rookies, Rokerij, 420Cafe and many more!

The most important thing will be the first contact and not to miss .
The rest will be the easy way... what I know from Amsterdam the most is never to make to many plans!

I'll pm a pic of me later, so you know my face, but please keep that save!
We should start your trip anywhere in centrum, what's your must have seen shop? :?:
