Anyone got some lowryder tips? oh and soil tips (Boner?)
I am waiting for sparkys to climb all over my house and rewire it
now I dont know when this work will start
between now and March is all they will say
So I can not do a real crop cos I would not be able to hide it at a few hours notice, so I is thinking if I grow some AF plants in soil that I can bag 'em and stash 'em during the work on the house. But hopefully they will not get disturbed and will be down and dried by the time the sparkys come. BUT I have never grown in soil before also I have zero experience with AF so the Qs are...What are the best AF strains? How many AF plants for one 400w? What sort of soil should I use? thanks
I used to buy Plagron batmix which was about £15 for 50 litres but I've recently been using Westlands Organic Vegetable soil (60 litres) for £5 (or £5.99) as I'm a cheapo bastard.
I haven't a clue whats best number wise I like to fill my space I currently have 12 plants under 375 watts but I put them in as seedlings and I'm going down the sea of green route (if they get too big/bushy I can take a few out as they're all my own bred seeds).
As far as what AF's is best I honestly dont know, I like the look of the Sour 60's: https://www.seedboutique.com/store/prod ... ts_id=2177
I've seen a few decent reports about Greenhoeses Green o matic: http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/gr ... _1528.html
Plus things like Dieselryder and other Lowlife autos normally get good results: http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/lo ... at_57.html

Thanks Boner well fast reply
I think I will go down the cheapo path too
You been breeding AFs nice one I'd be interested in seeing yer pics when yer finish
From 12 you will be able to easy fill the space. I am thinking about 5 for my little grow (they have to be easy to stash).
That sour 60 looks very tasty, so AFs are worth growing iyo? I know a lot of people dis the AFs but I need a fast compact result that can stop me paying dealers (greedy money grabbing lazy twats). Its looks like there is a lot of choice in AFs but I suppose they all more all less what it says on the tin.

Most autos claim they are done in 60 days (from germinating to cutting down), I've found 67-70 is more like it, a lot of people dont like them but imo they do exactly what you want them to do, the yield is a bit of a problem though, some will yield great (for an auto) others (like the one I did from Barneys, the name eludes me atm) was really poor but it was grown under a 200 watt cfl, the smoke itself was great, really old school skunk smell and imo plenty of strength.

I like the look o the Sour 60 too !! my mate is doing sweet seeds Fast Bud at the moment , im sure Stuart76 got about 28G from one plant ? lowryder
Alot of people bad mouth autos but its all down to what the individual needs / resources
i personally like the idea of them ideal for a small/micro grow no need for two areas veg/flower , also ideal for an outdoor grow with normal strains maybe not finishing in time (especially in Scotland)
however if you have space and time for an indoor grow i would go for a normal strain (however i know this aint possible for you at the mo) so for you at the moment (time issues) i think some autos would do the trick for you ! good luck

Another option is too find a quick flowering indica (some will flower in 7 weeks) and put it to flower from the off, I've seen plenty of grows where they do this just use something feminised.
archambaut is dead right about not letting them get root bound, that was the mistake I made with the Barneys flower power I did recently (good call on that).
