Thankyou all for your input, with all your help I have come up with a plan that may just work

I like Boners idea about using some fast indicas and keeping them short instead of AFs.

The reason I need small plants in pots is so I can hide them in my shed when a sparky is rewiring my house, 4 or 5 short Indicas will be ok for this.

I was willing to give AFs a real good go however after reading lots of reviews I decided to do some Indicas instead. The reason is quite a few reviews claimed thier finished product was not very potent. Its seems AFs can be a bit hit and miss.

I am now questioning if to use soil, the reason I thought I'd use soil is so they could be in pots (easy to move) instead of a hard to move hydro setup. But I am now thinking I can still use pots but with canna cocoa stuff instead, that way I would be able to feed them hydo nutes, and I have had previous experience with hydro but none with soil. (It would be my first go at using cocoa stuff so any tips would be usefull )
Anyway what do you all think of this plan?

Canna Coco is supposed to be better than soil, I dont know about using hydro nutes with it though as I know you can buy specific nutes for coir, once my soil nutes run out I'm going to go down the same route.

Do you just use canna coco like soil ? ie just add nutes no need for bubbler or other hydro set ups ?

Yeah you can just use it in pots or you can get the blocks and use a dripper system (I know Kermit recommends the drippers).

I will have to do some research on this one cos I thought coco stuff contained no food at all, not even any trace elements so I would have thought it would need hydo nutes as they contain everything a plant needs. :?

my friend used canna coco with canna nutes, 50/50 mix with perlite in big pots (kali mist-90day flower), great results, only drawback is salt build up, but nothing 2worry about

Cana Coco Nutes, and PK13-14 thats all you need. Cana Coco 50/50 with perlite as PW said. Want organic taste add a bit of Top-Max or Earth Juice catalyst during bloom, it will taste proper organic then. Coco is piss easy to use, i was using coco slabsx4 with 3 plants in each on automatic drippers under each 600W. No fucking around and the first grow was as good as the last if you get me.
Shit look at the time, its time to get FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

Nice one 8) lads thanks canna coco stuff it is then

I did use canna food for a bit years ago on a grow with clay pebbles and I remember it gave good fast growth 8) so will use that.

Thanks again you lot :)

Things have really changed since I grew cos of the internet :) Now you have access to so much info that just was not available back then (even when I got it I was too paranoid to go near weed on the net). Its like this fantastic site you can just type a Q and in no time you have 3 or 4 honest answers from like minded people 8) and then theres youtube......sorry another stoned babble (4 or 5 bongs of skunk#1).
