my preferred medium is rockwool...it holds water, thus i can water once a day and really control the nutes...there are many systems, some can be set up so you dont have to see yer girls for a week or so,that leaves a week for things to go horribly wrong...hands on each day seem to curtail alot of problems before they occur

Sorry boner, just so Im clear - do you add lemon juice directly to the water+nutrients, or do you make a 2 litre nutrient + lemon juice solution and then dilute that with water?Boner wrote:Like I've said I've been using lemon juice for a couple of years and keep an eye on my ph without any problems, I do only ever make 2 litres of solution up at a time though.
Probably a stupid question but double checking! Thanks
,, ye exactly ,, aquarium stores carry ph adjusters...archambaut wrote:iirc, pH up/down is also available from aquarium supplies.
The problem i found is a couple of drops too many and you
can way overshoot on pH.
To get around that you can predilute and use the 'thinned
down' version'.
Never tried lemon juice, but white vinegar works OK
in a pinch.
Like your mate and Boner, I only ever made up small
batches, so long term stability wasn't a problem.

KEEP ON BUBBLIN!!!
