kief catching grinders question

so iv had my cheapo metal kief catching grinder for 2 years. lately it hasn't been catching as much kief in the bottom chamber. does the mesh screen clog and need to be cleaned? i cant tell it looks a bit dirty but not bad. anyone know?

Yup, my one of them was a communual one in a smoking house for about a year. Then it stopped catching crystals.

Perhaps get some Isopropyl and pour it through. I tried boiling water, to not luck though.

Fuck crystal catchers anyway. Only grinder I think of using is the ones from MileHigh. How is he? Havent seen him in a while. Anyone know?

The Ganja Grinder from Willie Wortels by any chance? top fucking grinder, I left mine on a houseboat years back, one of the stupidest things I've done.

just soak it in rubbing alcohol over night,,will be clean in the morning

After you unclog it get yourself one of them little cleaning brushes that come with electric shavers (Facial ones). Then just give it a brush round every now and then to keep it in tip top condition. Works for me

I would also use a new one not one that you have cleaned your shaver with. (Just incase any smart arse comments come in)

I clean my grinder w/kief catcher by putting it in the fridge or freezer for 30-45 minutes, take it out, slap it hard on the floor or counter top several times and this dislodges the crystals caught in the mesh screen and they go down into the catcher. If this doesnt thoroughly clean it then I take an old toothbrush and clean the screen, in place. A coffeeshop dealer showed me this several years ago. Works pretty good.

I have a spare one of them grinders Boner dude....I never use it..ya can have it, if you want it.

I still tend to use the good 'ol Sharktooth plastic numbers ( with the compartment on the top ) I have only replaced it once. My Crystal Catcher lies redundant most of the time.
