My suggestion is first drop off luggage at hotel. Then on your way to one of the early opening coffeeshops grab a quick bite to eat, it will help prevent the proverbial Whitie.

smoke, orange juice, and a muffin(of the non stoner type) and a cup of coffee and your sorted.
have on or two before check-in and just go with the flow.

Yeah, good words. It also sounds like the guy at the guesthouse is superchill, so it's not going to matter as much as I thought it would. It's interesting how I plan, imagining scenarios, and then trying not to, but still doing it. I think I'm just excited to get there. Amsterdam truly feels like home...
