Post by Colina »

Hi friends,

was in the best city of the universe angain for five days form the 1st 1800 till the 6th 1230!
Five wonderful days not hot, but mostly sunny! Just a wonderful solo trip. Here are my impressions to share...

Wed 1st sept:

arrived by ICE at 1800!
got my 120 hours chipcard at the GVB office at Centraal Station Plance and went straight to the campside vliegenbos!
Just a 11 min. busride by bus 32 or 33! Even if the campside is on the other side of the Ij you are quite quick in the city!
every 10 min during the day and every 30min at night and just an 11min ride to Centraal Station!

Checked in very fast and put up my tent "green house" as fast as possible! Hoked up with my neighbours Harry and Holly
and went straight back to the city by bus to CS. Then by tram to dam spuare! Fast walk to Grey Area to pick up 2gr of Grey Ice 20,-/gr.
And 1gr of LA Con 13,-/gr.
While rolling up the LA Con and smoking my first J, Kerry from New Jersey joined me. After GA closed at 2000 we went to Dam Square
to meet a freind of mine and his colleague. My freind is a non smoker and current working in Amsterdam to build up the interior of the
new science center on Java Island. Then we all went to Greenhouse Centrum. For a short stop, Kerry got some lemon haze. Then we
all went to Green Place. I got 1gr of pine apple haze for 12,-/gr and 1gr of sour kush for 15,-/gr a chocomel and a coffee while sittig outside
smoking some joints of the strains I have catched so far. Kerry went to have some food, cause she has to leave tomorrow and
the food shop closes at 2200! As my friend and his colleague went for bed, I went to the campside to get my jacked I tought I would
not need and went back in town to Green House Lounge till they closed at 0100. Had a coffee there and joints of the stock. Then spent
some time in town had 20 chicken nuggets at mc donalds and a walk through the two red light districts. just watching the ladies, I had
a lot of fun, totaly baked I went to bed at 0400! 8)

Must have been 1800 when I arrived Grey Area to get 1gr of BBC for 11,50/gr. Then I went to the Roor Shop but it was already closed

After some smoke I went to bed at 0400.

Fri 3rd Sept:

Got up late, had breakfast at the campside and went to town at about 1400.
I took the tram 1 till west end of vondelpark ad walked to Boerejonges. At Boerejonges they had some strains that were not on
the menue! Chocolope for one! If they are sold out they get refills each 2 hours, don't worry! Smoking inside is not allowed, only
rolling! Got 1gr BBC for 9,-/gr, 1gr Chocolope 9,-/gr and 1gr Bubble Gum for 8,-/gr and a coffee while rolling.

Walked back to Vondelpark for a sunbath and smoke!
That was my place at vodelpark:

Got up early to be at barney's at 10:30 waited for Magic Floyed but missed him! I think he didn't show up. Had another 3gr of
the wonderful Red Diesel batch, 2 cokes and a coffee.

At about 1300 I went to the Roor Shop which was open this time. Had a nice talk and bought a spliff addapter and a clear med.
bowl. nothing special but I liked the talk and did not want to leave without a suvenir!
Have seen a custom bong I hope to buy before the cup or at least save it by commission.
Walked past Basjoes that was colsed, I had a some joints at the Kloveniersburgwal next to the river.

Image

At 1430 I had 2 sandwiches and some rosted vegetabele and a banana juce at La Place. Then went to original dampring for a smoke of the stock. Had a banana shake and a coke at dampring.
Then to GA to get 1gr of chocolope for 12,-/gr and a coke. later a second gr and a second coke!
As GA closed I went back to the campside to get a jacked.

View form CS over the Havenfront to Prins Hendrikkade at night:

Met my freind joschi at dam spuare at 2300 went to NES Cafe, but soon we went on to Baba, but Baba closed at 0100, so we were there just 30min. Then we went to the RLD, spent some hours at the smoker friedly black tiger bar! Great view to the river and the girls in their windows. We had fun with the london guys and their girls - it was comedy! We had some small heineken. Cheers Lydia from Melbourne!!!

Was vliegenbos a good campsite Colina, I've stayed at camping zeeburg and have thought about giving vliegenbos a try because it's so much nearer to centrum.

@ spireax

vliegenbos is not that smoker freindly as zeeburg I think, but I always stayed at vliegenbos when camping from april to september.
The rest of the year vliegenbos is closed! You are def not allowed to smoke in the public area, and I don't know what happens
if other campers complain when you smoke at your tent.
But that's all to handel, be clever and a bit undercover. No problem in September as the main season is over, and the side is not
that crowded any more as in August.
The city is that easy to reach from vliegenbos, you can go back from the city (CS) to the campside and go back to the city (CS) again
in less than 30 min, in case you have forgotten something.
If you have time and don't mind a 20min walk you can take the ferry, or take the ferry when you have a bike!

Vliegenbos is great to save money you can invest better in great food or more smoke!

save compared to hotels or apartments!
The rest of the trip is the same, but better 5 days for 50,- than for 300,-!
If you have the equipment why not camping?

I can recomend vliegenbos especially because of the good public transport there!
That was always the reason why I didn't give zeeburg a try!
