I like to chill in whatever coffeeshop, this is a good enough reason for me to not go in Dampkring, I dont like the sound of the holocaust as background images when I'm trying to chill.

Why would you want to get high and watch that! I saw the ones in Dampkring2, some weird shit on there. It reminds me of when i was at uni there was this club that had screens all around the bar showing surgery and liposuction- for no reason! Who in their right mind would come up with these shite ideas? Who would be in a meeting about how to improve an establishment and suggest screens showing dead people and surgery? I agree with tron about stopping people from camping out - if uncomfortable seats and horrible music aren’t enough to stop people staying for ages - show them disturbing images till they leave. I used to love pink floyd, im starting to hate this place.

wow seems like i entered a post for good debate. I dont mind watching those screens but getting stoned and watching chicks being stunned to death jesus being crusified and babies being born is abit wrong in my mind in a coffeeshop. Though if the dampkring crew want to conjure up debate etc they may have success. I mean were all debating now but at the time i was gobsmacked. christ i dunno what i would of said to a stranger at the time. i did at first find it amusing then it got more distrurbing and it did cause us to debate amongst ourselves as friends on a trip together but i dunno about talking about it face to face with someone ive never met jus seems to be to much subject matter which is offensive or distasteful in my opinion. I could find something trivial and make light of it in conversation when to another human being of diffrent belief, culture or morells etc the subject matter could be deeply disrespectful. dont think i could enter a conversation about it at the time and being that stoned.

After staring at the screens for a long while (they seem to loop) I decided that it was some sort of comment on the futility of war...

Yeah they do seem to have a message. When I watched them it seemed to portray the cycle of life. Births, mid life celebrations and then cultural rituals of passing on and death be it human, animal or the natural deteriation of life generally. Very odd.

As someone who has studied and graduated in visual arts and graphic design, I'm very much into all this, regardless.

Have you ever witnessed the screens trance ? If your into this sort of thing then it's worth checking them out. I'm sure you would get alot out of witnessing these screens first hand. I for one would watch them out of curiosity again as I found them intriguing even if some of the subject matter is controversial.

I've not seen these particular screens yet but can imagine what they consist of and will try to check them out in November. Stuff like this fascinates and intrigues me and I've seen similar and much, much worse over the years, believe me.

MAN GETS SHOT IN HEAD VIDEO.....I saw this video in school, btw.

Prefer 420 myself - always seems to be showing the Discovery Channel. Plenty of stimulating images. Educational too.
How much did you produce?
