So why was i asked to put my phone away when i was sending a txt ?wietroker wrote:Yeah just to be clear, you won't have a problem using your phone this way in any coffeeshop at all. It is only talking in the shop that is frowned up.tron wrote:Cool thanks. I heard good things, artsy, and good video reviews, wanted to check out. But also wanted to use my Android phone for Google Maps. I've got a long list of spots in Amsterdam marked on my map!cisco wrote:I think there is a bit paranoia about using camera phones etc aswell dunno why considering you can use cameras !!![]()
Dont be put off the wording of Siberie great wee shop and any budtender iv met certainly never chucked us out i have spent hours in there ande smoking other stuff no problem
Much like some train companies are banning phones except for a single carriage. It's because idiots who talk on phones in places where they can't hear clearly speak louder. This is stupid because there is no need to raise your voice. Just because a person can't hear themselves properly doesn't mean the person on the other side can't either.
As for the "consumption is compulsory", that is a Dutch translation of the "consumptie is verplicht".
It's to stop the twats who come into a coffeeshop in a group of 15 and buy one joint or buy one drink. These people take the piss and think that coffeeshops are a charity, a place to make them feel warm and fluffy.
WRONG! They are a business! lol

What about that i phone app that turns your phone into a pair of scales?cisco wrote:Phones defo cause problems with scales !! the scales i have came with a warning not to use them near a mobile phone and have seen it for myself (not with my own)TRANCE wrote:That's a new one on me, I've never heard a phone can mess around with digital scales. I wonder what could cause this? Interesting if it's fact, I'll see what happens to a friends scales when I'm there next, but not fully convinced about this.
Does it make the phone go KABOOM!
How much did you produce?
not the real thing with the phone and weighed, using the same type of scale as in most cs, working in a pawn shop, jewelry store and work with the phone is not true, unless you put it directly on your scale:)startled-giraffe wrote:I was once at a dealers flat and he showed me how unreliable the scales went when he lay his phone near it, then back to normal when it was moved away.Prestoned wrote:The Dampkring matey moaned at a mate cus he was holding his iPhone. Said all the signals were messing with his scales. Think he was just stressed out tho and wanted to vent.
