Hello everyone. I'm a student living in Delft (not too far from Amsterdam) in the Netherlands, although I spent most of my life in Scotland. I've been a very occasional smoker for a few years but after a summer of heavy use, my eyes have been opened to the beauty of marijuana!

Last weekend was my first time in Amsterdam and I think I may already be falling in love with it. Unfortunately, I don't know many people here who share my appreciation for weed (what is with that?) but luckily I've got more friends from Scotland coming over to visit Amsterdam on the weekend of the 16th of october. Last time we mostly wandered lost but now that I know more about the city I'm hoping to visit some of the more recommended coffeeshops. What would everyone here recommend as their personal favourite?

Hi and welcome, I was in Delft earlier this year for 'work' - I thought it was a pretty cool little place

Thanks for the welcome all. There are a few decent coffeeshops in Delft. Charming city but it's just not quite the same as Amsterdam though. Shouldn't really complain though as I remember what it was like getting weed back in Scotland.

And 'work' is all I seem to do here too. Maybe it's something about this country...
