I had a (massive by UK standards) glass of malt (Dalwhinnie possibly) in there a few weeks ago.Pauli Wallnuts wrote:leffe @nes is 2.90, not sure how much u get but definatly more than those little 'flute' things, im still to find a cheaper bar in the centrum, no idea about their spirit prices but beer is cheap, also try the gulpener&unless your really good at pool, stay away from the 50c pool table
I believe DC said it was about the most expensive drink they do, and that was just over 5 EUR. 4.20EUR a pint for Gulpener... I remembered that:)
Rick's Cafe do some very cheap beer on their happy hour, but it really is a shithole. Both the beer, and ganj are below par.

If you are fancying guzzling back beers with friends t'Nes is one of the best bars centrally both on price and beer quality.
I necked a few different 'on tap' beers during June and they were all good, nicely chilled, great taste and in a clean glass.
Price was under EUR3 for a good sized glass of dark Leffe - pretty strong too.
You can also have a smoke if you bring your own.
Reminded me of the old traditional tap room /games room for bellying up to the bar and chewin' the fat. I liked it!

First visit October 1976 last visit still to come ....
The Winston on Warmoesstraat has some of the best drinks deals in the immediate centre:
2 vodkas/whiskeys with mixer for the price of 1.
2 Becks beers €4.
REALLY cheap Jagermeister and Apple Sourz (Either €1 or €2, I can't remember, lol)
Pint bottles of Grolsch in the Nes are my happy thing - about €2.90, I seem to recall.
Then circulate the happy hours in the RLD. Slainte, Susie's Saloon, Ricks Cafe - on and on. As one happy hour ends, go on to the next venue!
Also, it's fun to go to a proeflokaal and sample different jenever. I went to one off Dam Sq, had about 4 shots worth of free samples before I found one I really liked. A nice, spicy jenever and a cool beer to wash it down... SAVAGE.

Sure you can bring 6-12 even 24 beer if you want to the park just dont get seen! at Vondel on a nice day youll see a lot of ppl eating drinking smoking ...iv heard from some member that at night become a sex park so watch out for them ass grader
Buying from the shops is kind of annoying. Because as said chilled beers seem to cost 3-4 times as much as an off the shelf cans do. AH on Damrak had (2 years ago) cold 500ml heini's for about €3. Yet going to there regular stores you can get a 6 pack for about €1.50 more. Ok you'll not find them chilled. But probably a drinkable temp in most cases.
Out on interest, check these prices out if there are a few going as some great deals: http://webwinkel.ah.nl/process?fh_locat ... ules.build
But NES by the sounds of things has some decent prices these days.
