Which strain to aid in overcoming insomnia

A friends wants me to pick up some seeds for him. His wife is looking to smoke something to help her overcome insomnia?

He was thinking Northern Lights #5 x Haze Feminised from Sensi Seeds. SInce that has Sativa in it, I am wondering.

Wouldn't an indica be better? Thanks

Yeah an indica is deffinetly what theyll need. Ive heard the purple strains are good, also last time i was in Amsterdam i tried Headband from Greenplace that made me really sleepy and had an amazing stone effect as well. I think the seeds for headband are also called sour kush

whats causing your friends insomnia? if its an overthinking brain then maybe strong weed aint the answer, a good outdoor strain might be an option

I like gixxers choice only I'd stay away from feminised if he can.

do all feminised seeds have that danger of being a herm or do you refer more specifically to that strain or seed supplier?

Thanks for the input, I knew you all could help.

They actually spoke to a doctor who recommended that strain. Its more than insomnia, there are mind issues. Which makes me wonder why weed but they are talking to a doctor so not my place to question.

Can you explain this, I do not even know what hermies means?

Where should I get the seeds then? For a Northern Lights similar to what I posted.

Not all feminised seeds will hermie (hermies are female plants that produce male pollen sacks and will then pollinate the plant which is exactly what you dont want).

I've heard Sensi are one of the worst as far as feminised seeds are concerned, dont get me wrong fems are great but they all have it in them to herm, there are 2 ways of making them, 1 is using cordial silver (they spray it on) which stresses the plants to produce both male & female flowers and the seeds from said plant are feminised, the second is to let the female plant flower longer than it's supposed to (say give a 8 weeker 10/12 weeks) this will then stress the plant into producing male pollen sacks, the breeder collects said pollen and uses it on another female, thus producing feminised seeds and this is the problem, if you put any stress into a plant it will always be in its genetics, some people grow fems with no trouble and some grow fems and have nothing but trouble, the feminised cheese I grew from Greenhouse were brilliant and had no hermies what so ever but the trainwreck I grew went hermie mad, the same with the Flying Dutchmans seeds (who I beleive use the same people who make Sensis).

Fucking hell what a rant.

Marco, I'd suggest you go and see the guys at Homegrown Fantaseeds @ Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 25 and see what they have.

For the strain, my friend wrote me the details of what he wants below. So I am would really appreciate some strain recommendations based on these criteria:

So, we need:
- A very strong THC level/effect,

- An hybrid Sativa/Indica with a dominant Indica,

- Easy to grow strain due to minimal and non-professional equipment,

- Will be put to flowering under lightbulbs (with the right light spectrum), with a ventilation system and temperature regulation,

- Will grow and flower in a 2 meters tall closet,

- 5 seeds will be fine,

- Feminised seeds as we don't want to get males nor to do clones.

If you need more info, let me know.

i used to have a bit of insomnia. i sleep much better after a nice indica joint.

like gixxer and boner said afghani is a winner. had afgoo a few weeks in a row and it was kmocking me out nightly. og kush and bubba kush (bubblegum x master kush) is also nice.

crimea blue also knocked me out.
