Veg tent set up (coco dripper) help please

high all

right, so i have 8 x blue cheese, and 2 x bagseed, 3 weeks from seed currently in my room under a 600w.. everything going pretty well, nice bushy growth...so hopefully they ll come down just before xmas.

When I turn these into flower I want to set up a veg room, thus having a 2 month harvest cycle + mother plants for cuttings.

Not needed for another 6 weeks or so, so I am looking to get prepared and put a budget to one side

I also want to be able to propergate from seed in this tent, so ideally I would like floor space for a small propergator.

So i was thinking a drs 80 tent, 200w blue lamp, cheap extract fan. Any suggestions? The space itself is small, perhaps 90cm x 120 cm, 2m tall.

In terms of media, I want to swap over to a coco dripper (perhaps wilma system).

So, I will need two set ups - one for my veg room, many small plants as possible, and a 8 or 10 pot for my flowering room. Any suggestions on systems to use? I was thinking of finding a small pot (under 6l) drip system for the veg, and then a wilma for the flower room.

One option is to use the DR80 on the side. I never veg my plants that tall (I LST them to keep them small). I use T5s to veg in there so I can get maximum height for the bush.

A DR80 on its side would be 80cm tall, 80cm wide, with 160cm of floor space. I can fit 8 comfortably in there.

For the propagator, I just shove mine in the corner, allowing it to absorb any indirect light. I used to have a DR60 on its side for clones and keeping the mother alive and the DR80 as the veg tent.

Am a soil man, so I say the best 'system' to use is your hand and a watering jug. I tried setting up an auto feeding system, but was very fidly. Couldnt get all the tubes to fit securley. Feeding only takes 8-16 minutes every other day for me. Sometimes longer if I stare at the girls

thanks. you've thrown a spanner in the works as your sideways idea is very interesting... although i need to find more floor space.. was planning to use a room thats only 90cmx 120ish floor space.

A DR80 the right way up should still be enough floor space (depending upon pot size). Just means about half the vertical space wont be used.

A friend has a 400w HPS in his DR80, and its on his side! Crazy

Would it work if you link up the exhaust port on the veg tent to the inlet port of yer F tent, and then the big exhaust fan would draw in air to the veg tent as well, would this save costs on running 2 fans and also less noise.

I have never had any tent experience so I dunno but in theory it should?

Theory seems good, cant confirm tho.

My veg tent is 40-50%+ humidity, so I would use fresh outside air to keep the humidity down.
