A potent budget?

I was going over my upcoming trip with my gf last night and got to talking about what kinda ”budget” we would be on concerning weed whilst in the dam. Now, obviously this is the main reason for us going to the dam so, if needed, we are willing to put quite a bit of European dollars into the hands of the nice budtenders. But since we have heard so many different opinions on the potency of the weeds and hashes in the dam it is kinda hard to put the prices, which are easily found in this forum, into a reasonable frame of reference. All the more reliable “sources” (i.e. most guys in here, a friend of mine who lived in Leiden for a few years and a couple of heavy tokers from Denmark) tell me that the potency is quite amazing at times and in general fully satisfying, if you are not ripped of, which I really think is less of a problem than some make it…

To establish a somewhat reasonable (maybe I’m kidding my self but fuck it) frame of reference my question is:

How much do you smoke at home (i.e. what is your approximate tolerance?)?

AND

How much do you spend on weed while in the dam on average per day?

We (at least my gf and I, and I’m pretty sure one or maybe all of my three m8s going) plan to smoke ourselves retarded every day so we’re not talking smoking just a few joints a day, the question is most relevant if weed also is the dominating reason for your visit to the dam… (Not that I would mind anyone else replying or that it is necessary for you to be an super heavy toker whilst in the dam)…

Maybe I should expand the question to include:

How do you smoke in the dam?

Meaning, do you toke on the best of the best heavily on a bong and vaporizer all day and night, toke only a little of everything in small innocent joints to get all the flavours and feelings or perhaps something in the middle or an entirely different option?

Heh, already did that twitch, but thnx… The thing is, although some of u really are good with details about prices, amounts etc. it’s hard to know how much of what you bought one day did you actually smoke that day, what your specific tolerance is (if your tolerance is up near what DC’s seem to be it’s a different thing than if you only smoke once in a while all together…) etc.

I’m not looking for a lengthy detailed answer, some thing in the lines of:
Xx € per day approx.

Smoke every day all day at home

Toke like it’s being criminalized in a few minutes all day long

If anyone can make this estimate without spending to much of the time they could be smoking we would love it… Thanks again guys…

5 smokers per day....hmmm...give or take a few.....

Mixed Joints, 8-18g......... 60-180 euro per day.
Pure Joints, 10-16g...........100-160 epd.
Bongs, 7-14g....................60-150 epd.
Vaporizors, 7-12g.............80-150 epd.

Light smokers cheap-regular smokers not cheap (depending on what quality weed yer buyin)

Don't forget, all smoking plans can go out the window when a particular strain decides to crunch ya.

i'd say DC is right on.

I am a heavy evening smoker at home (i work all day and don't smoke till after work, at which point its fairly non stop for a few hours).
In the dam i started out strong then got sick a couple days in. If there were no sickness i think i probably would have smoked 8-10 pure joints a day (about .5 - .75g per joint = ~5g a day). So for the sake of easy math we'll say 5g a day at 10E a g = 50E a day. So at least that much.


Also i smoked mostly high-end stuff....the lower end stuff on the menus is pretty much what i can get at home all day long so i fiugred why bother.

I reckon everyone tends 2 go wild in the dam. Lots of members are wot i would class heavy smokers. eg 1\2 - 1 ounce a week. Some members cant get good quality weed but smoke lots of it so could be deemed as heavy smokers. Your tolerence can be reduced or increased by wot type of weed you smoke. I dont know how but it can. You might build up a tolerance quicker 2 jack herer than 2 shiva. I personally buy something if i like the look and smell of it and tend 2 smoke 1 joint after another all day wen indoors.

very heavy smoker...2 - 3 in morning to get eyes open

I smoked it all....and I smoked Just weed or weed and hash

S_X_DK - Have been a heavy smoker up till last year. Was in the Dam in early April 06 and found I spent a hell of a lot more than I intended the first week (about 1000 euro) due to my buddy constantly smoking heavily everywhere we went and my buying & smoking a shitload of hash. We were buying and rolling our own (we only smoke pure) because too many 'pure' pre-rolls weren't. By the second week found I could stretch things out by doing the bong loads and vaporizer hits. It also allows you to acheive exacly the right level of high, so you can do other things if you wanted. Figure I spent less than 300 euro that week on weed. Some of the best deals were at the three Willy Wortel shops in Haarlem. If you can, go there. Enloy it while you can.

Hey dude, always my concern..taking the right amount of cash. We got it about right this time, had 20euros or so left afterwards which is a first..

I reckon between me and a mate we smoked 10-15 grams of weed a day for 3 days (arrival/departure only counted as one day) We were smoking the better strains which averaged about 8 euros a gram i should think, and we were normally smoking 1gram pure joints. I think including food (excluding accom. and travel) I spent about 80 euros a day, although we bought a couple of expensive hashes (WW Ice + Jelly) so probably about 300euros in total.
