I feel the coffeeshop side of the argument is unique it that you could also say it is in effect a smoking shop. So there should never be an issue with smoking in any form in a coffeeshop anyways. So any employee going to work in a coffeeshop cant have any real moral argument for the smoking ban anyways.

Futher more, any current coffeeshops that have or could have the ability to have owner only staff there etc, would this mean they are going to be auto exempt from the smoking ban anyways in the near future?.

my sentiments exactly..tbh i also feel that the same rule should apply to pubs as well, i have loads of freinds/aquaintances that smoke only when they are drinking and we all miss having a fag with our pint..pubs always were traditionally full of smoke so if you choose to make a career of serving in a bar then you should be willing to accept that people will smoke around you, as to patrons, what was wrong with the old ways of smoking/non smoking areas?

When I was in Mellow Yellow on my last trip, upstairs was thick with smoke and my eyes started to water and sting real bad..

it looked like I was crying it was that bad, but I didn't say anything as I agree... What do you expect in a CS.
Anyway this old chap came up and opened it, by fuck the wind was clearing the smoke and it was fucking freezing, but no one said a thing.
I wondered if this was the owner as I can remember someone on a documentary about weed getting interviewed in MY and thought it was him, but maybe I'm wrong.
He smoked his joint in the end of a cigarrette holder
