Looks a great hotel. Yeah walked by a few times myself and thought it looked like a good place to stay. Hope it's not a letdown for you. I would'nt imagine your allowed to smoke in the rooms though. But me and the Mrs were thinking about booking it for next year. So you'll have to let us know what it was like and whether it was worth the money for the price there charging. Anyway hope you have a blast mate.

on a smokey trip to amsterdam nothing beats banter and laughs with mates or a loved one.

but going solo is something that every true a'dam addict must experience. get a new book, load up the ipod with suitable music, charge up the camera, print off a coffeeshop map, and enjoy.

you must go. you will find that you can afford to be much more geeky, with your smoking, no friends around means you can indulge the weed geek in you, by chatting to the guys in the cannabis college for ages and taking your time over weed purchases. you can spend ages in the seed banks discussing the pros and cons of all the seeds etc etc. :D

well mate friday is nearly here. Hope your all geared up and ready to go. thats good news that you've got a smoking room. It's half the battle to be honest. Spliff before breakfast spliff last thing going to bed can't beat it. I actually see your trip report being nothing but good towards going solo. And i would'nt be surprised to read that your going to do the same next time. Make sure and get some good pics of the bud your purchase. And write down what it is. If your anything like me you'll end up with a few different bags in your pocket and you'll not know whats what lol. Don't get me wrong thats not exactly a bad thing just usaully means your baked.

Going solo to the dam is great, been solo twice before and 3rd time next week.

One of my main reasons for going solo is I can't be arsed waiting for mates to get dates set/organise everything, I like to book as and when I please and just go.

Rest assured I go there for weed and only weed, and I feel I need some time alone with my fav herb, at home I always smoke with mates so some time alone with sick bud is my idea of a good time.

When I go with mates I tend to get sidetracked a lot, end up just going with the flow, but when I go solo I always have a more intimate experience with the weed, experience it more, if that makes any sense?

Pretty easy to get into (stoned or non stoned) conversations with other folk I reckon - wouldent worry as there are so many friendly people of all origins over there - travelled lots on my own over the years , quite like it as a change occasionally from friends and family.

I think that pretty much sums it up. As long as you are a member (posting) on here you will always know someone who will be in Amsterdam the same time as yourself.

3years ago i would never have dreamed of going dam on my own, but since i wouldn't have it any other way, nothing worse than being in a group of 5+people all wanting to do something different & getting the hump when you dont go along with it  also when your in agroup youl rarely talk to any1 outside of it, go solo &youl meet people everyday &unlike if your with a group from back home, if you dont like em, no problem, just f**k em off
