yes :D it has a range of 31miles, but thats only because its been limited to 60mph for US skies  im sure some1 will be able to chip it, it holds 5gallons of fuel & can go really high (8000ft) the more i see of it the more i want 1, at the moment theirs no license required to fly 1 but obviously that will change soon (as soon as spoilt rich kid flys into plane)

heres the makers site, http://www.martinjetpack.com/

in la? thats a cop getting shot waiting to happen. some dude trippin on pcp is gonna go all anti aircraft. waste of tax paying $ too. cops dont need these uber nice vehicles. just a reg squad car with a sufficiently powered engine.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Whould be great in california to do the "officer Reed" thing - espy the plantation, then do a quick harvest and certainly destroy the
weed by smoking! Bad if the plantation is guarded...

Blimey, how did I miss this thread?
That's superb. I've seen those jet packs in operation but this design seems more fuel efficient than what's needed in jet packs.

It's amazing that in a US State that has an eye watering budget debt they're even entertaining ideas about toys like this, I think they should just buy the cops some new boots. Also if you ran out of juice at anything over 10 ft. I think you would be mincemeat under all that kit  .
What a long strange trip it is.

why would you run out of fuel? never heard of a plane running out of fuel, as long as you aint a complete dummy i dont think it will happen, +i hear you on californian debt, but the uk was basically bankrupt after ww2 but that didnt stop it embarking on the largest social housing project this countries ever seen, thinking about it id prefer 1of these to a council flat :D
