Rotterdam?

Post by Couch »

Going to have about 2 days in Rotterdam soon. Any recommendations?

CS (of course) and/or anything else interesting to do while I'm there? Been to Amsterdam many times, but never to Rotterdam.

Rotterdam has some great post WW2 architecture. Check out the Kijk Kubus, get off at station Overblaak a cool building on it's own, in the same plaza is the Pencil building.

Halstraat 10a De Koffieshop is the coffee shop we always used, not a lot of choices but good gear and prices, but I haven't been in years.

Rotterdam imo has a different 'feel' to it compared to Amsterdam. It's a nice city, coffeeshops not as obvious as Amsterdam and a couple nearer the port/docks looked quite seedy. I would second KD's recommendation.

Have fun anyway 8)
