This makes no difference to my trip as thats sorted. But just wandering if short trippers prefer going during the week over the weekends?. Only twice I've been there including a weekend during the trip and each time I've felt the city to be far overcrowded and felt like trouble was waiting to happen in a lot of places where the dedicated weekend tourists go.

So I always try to plan a trip during the week so I can enjoy it and relax more. So is it still the same at weekends now or do other members also try to avoid them or dont let things bother them?.

I quite like the busy crowds, gives the city that vibe for me. Amsterdam is 24/7 though man, doesn't make much difference what time of the week you go..

I'm easy, I normally take in a weekend it's just easier with work, but have been Mon-Fri too. It may be a bit quieter mid week. So far I've avoided any trouble at night, or is that because I'm otherwise occupied in my window by that stage

I prefer mid week to weekends.

I prefer going during the week, i just find it quieter and a bit more relaxing than at weekends when most of the stag party's come over

I agree with that

Weekends are good! thou some hotels are more expensive than weekdays.

Some good deals around this time of year - a 4 person apt for 2 cost around £40 a night Mon to Weds .....
