Hi all,
We'll be in the Dam for the first time October 26th - 29th for my other half's 30th birthday
Was hoping you good peeps could recommend a few good CS to try? Thanks to badbone, who has kindly suggested Basjoes on a previous post, but am hoping other members could suggest a few more for us Amsterdam virgins?
Thanks folks!

Hey Honey B, be sure to try the Honey B, (a nice Sativa), at Barneys or Amnesia. Also, every shop has it's own flavor depending on: the kind of music you like, if you want a lively or chilled atmosphere, if you want the best quality Gear; or, if you just want to experience everything. Just specify what your looking for and you will get a lot of suggestions. By the way, you can't go wrong with any of King Docs suggestions, there all quality Shops

Cheers for the suggestions folks.
Just looking for nice, chilled out places. I'm a major Pink Floyd fan so I'm pretty gutted that's not there anymore

but anywhere with good tunes and a relaxed atmosphere will do for us!

i don't know whether anyone has suggested that both of you read
How not to get hit by a bike ... for first time visitors to amsterdam it is very important to become aware how fast crazy and dangerous the bicycles can be ...
stay safe even when stoned/high/blazed/ripped/... and have a great trip
ps to the list i would add
yo-yo and
la tertulia, both run by women, both have a pleasant atmosphere, both shut early in the evening, both worth a visit
pps yo-yo has a great apple dessert

Ok then i will write it on the basis of price & quality **drums**
1.Double Rasta Coffeeshop - Touristy ex bar kinda place that plays loud music & sells utter junk! avoid at all costs.
2.Any Grasshoppper Chain - weed is overpriced rubbish + claims of theft by staff from stoned tourists is another bad thing ive heard about in the past.
3.Rockland Coffeeshop - Minimum purchase/average quality/dingy/dodgy staff & outright dangerous steps are some things that spring to mind about this place.
4.Doors Coffeeshop - thou i smoke my own while here a couple of times each trip ive heard waay to much about there small menu & poor products from fellow explorers to ignore listing them here,Thou there drinks arnt as expensive as say "lost in amsterdam".
5.Any Bulldog Coffeeshop - unless your just wanting a seat/drink/surf/snack & to smoke your own! again small/poor & overpriced menu,"thou to there credit the bulldog palace lets you smoke your own while in there bar".
6.Coffeeshop Paradise - small dingy shop/stale overpriced weed,End of.
7.Black star Coffeeshop - terrible staff/average overpriced smokes.
8.Rastababy Coffeeshop - weed menu typicaly is or was swazi/colombian/jamaican,Typical touristy crap that dates from the early 80`s & to be avoided if you like the good stuff.
9.Lost In Amsterdam Coffeeshop - i could see what they were trying to do here but a coffeeshop that doesnt even sell weed/small tables/cushions for seats in the front window/expensive drinks & the other seats literaly at the toilet door dont go well with everyone.

Nice one KD, I am very pleased to say that I have not darkened the door of any one of these establishments and will be careful not to do so in the future
