In town 21 Oct to 25th at Flying Pig

Post by peterniss »

Hi all,

Finally booked my shit today and will be getting in to town on Thursday 21st and leaving on the following Monday 25th. I've opted for a combo of the Flying Pig Downtown (Thurs) and Flying Pig Beachside tho I believe you can change/cancel with 24 hours notice if I find something better but they where cheap and seemed to accomodate the necessities. Any tips or suggestions on this arrangement would be most welcome. I just want a cheap easy smoke without too much hastle. Does this sound ok?

Cheers,
Pete

I rather like the cheap places like that because it leaves more money for the more important things you can do there. The place is ok, but tends to be a much younger crowd than most places.

Another cheap place you could try is the Bulldog hotel. Think thats slightly cleaner from reviews I've read and it has mixed ages of people staying there.

The downtown pig is a party hostel basically. The place has a party atmosphere as well as a very young crowd. I've stayed there about 12 times.
Aside from cold weather, the beach pig is a bit more difficult to get to which may cause problems when one has partied hard and then has to get back to the beach. There are directions on how to get there posted on the pig's website.
You many want to try a combination of the downtown pig and the uptown pig if trekking out to the beach isn't what you had in mind.

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know there is a T&T planned for Saturday Oct 23rd and 12:00pm in Haarlem at High Times Coffee Shop ( Lange Veerstraat 47) behind the Grote Market. Not sure how many folks will make the trip to Haarlem :?: I'm hoping some will. Very good gear and very reasonable. Perhaps a Haarlem Crawl to follow.

Cheers T

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the October Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

There is at least one every day of your visit.
A 10 shop coffeeshop crawl is being planned for the 24th.

Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=51763

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Enjoy
