a friend of mine just came back from the dam and told me that Gollem on Ramsteeg is closed :!: :?:

anyone know if its closed? or being refurbed... or was he being an idiot and went there out of hours?

Just had confirmation that the gollem on Raamsteeg is definatly shut :cry:

i believe the gollem café in de pijp is still open though....

fuck. :cry:

Just a note and for all it's worth, I've just recently added top bars/pubs to my AMSTERDAM MAP (under drinking). I plan to do a bit of a bar crawl in a couple of weeks when I'm in town and get some recent updates. Guess I'll delete Gollem off the map now, to start with. Also forgot to add NES which I'll do shortly. Cheers for the info

and Gollem has two other locations, one being a tasting room, the other a bar in De Pijp. Would be nice to know the status of those.

I found this info on their site http://cafegollem.nl/ :

Momenteel zijn Gollem 1 (Raamsteeg) en Gollem 2 (Daniel Stalpertstraat) tijdelijk gesloten. Gesloten means closed :(

Wij ontvangen u graag in Gollem’s Proeflokaal op de Overtoom 160-162.
I think it means we recomend you go to the 'proeflokaal' (dunno how to translate but its kind of a bar/tasting room) on overtoom :?:

Dutch members please tell us what it means :?:

Yeah, I think the tasting room is still open.

@lion king, you're right.
They said Gollem 1&2 are temporary closed and they recommended you to go to Gollem's tasting room at Overtoom.

TEMPORARY!!!

I hope this means what it actually means.... and not temporary as in actually shut forever....

Ofcourse they say "temporary" if the chance is there that they can be open sometime in the future . Who knows,Time will tell
