If anyone is going to be in Haarlem, I have a favor to ask.
Could someone see what the status of Birdy is now.
They were closed back in the spring for some fishy charges
but were supposed to open back up in September. It's now
October and I don't know if they are back in business or not.
I spoke with some friends about Birdy. One of them grew up in Haarlem and returns frequently and the other says he lives "just around the corner" from Birdy. Both of them said the same thing. That it was closed for a time because of underage people being caught in the shop and yes, Birdy is open again.
Was in Birdy with Tuttiflutes last week and we will be going again today. As Puffin says, it was closed for six months, but is now reopened. They now ask for ID off everyone, quite a novelty at my age
Last time i went it was shut due to the underage fiasco and i was so dissapointed, the deals they do here are amazing and the weed blows most of amsterdam's grass out of the water!

I find almost every purchase in Haarlem to be atleast a step up in quality from its counterpart in Amsterdam.
Try hitting up Empire C.S. as well, they have amazing stuff and have not upped any prices in 3 years now.
For me "birdy" was the best coffeeshop i saw while in haarlem,The willie wortel empire is good also! ie his templeball & kashmorroc black hashes especialy,Yea birdy is a nice place + its close to the main rail station,And they do discount if you spend 30 euros or more! a rare thing these days .
