I thought it was a pretty interesting documentary/commercial/vanity piece.

I usually find these guys unbearable too, but this was too good for me to be bothered by that. The footage alone, wow.

Feel like I should start to plan a trip there, but that's probably not a solo-project... or is it? 8)

I recommend anyone who's a big hash fan to go at least once in their lifetime...it wouldn't cost that much, but I mean...you're not going to get such a variety like the dam, but it's a crazy, crazy experience. aside from gear, the environment is completely different than any other part of india. you look around and its 360 degree mountains, and there is weed growing naturally EVERYWHERE (most of it is already harvested though  )...only thing is gotta go at the right time since the hash is, basically, seasonal. Nov, Dec are the best.

Anyone else annoyed that they were giving out church seeds which would in turn cross pollinate the landraces?

Yeah, I completely get the attraction
Friendly people, mountains, a bit trekking, cool little villages, cannabis and hash everywhere..

I will probably go next year in Nov-Dec, that should give me plenty of time to plan a great vacation. How is it travelling solo there? I'm quite experienced, but never that region or even India for some reason.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched it. I thought it was pretty irresponsible to be growing those outdoors where there are native landraces. They were feminized, but they could have easily went herme and fucked shit up. I would think Arjan would be smart enough to warn him about the possibility of a herme so it can be chopped before anything happens, but still a pretty bone headed thing to do.

Being feminised doesn't amount to much when it's from Greenhouse  .

Shitty genetics tbh.

It is but it kind of pissed me off when he has a go at the african guy for taking him to a field where most of it has been robbed. It may be fun and games for him going to these places but it was the guys livelihood that someone had taken.

I think Arjan was just doing a commercial for his color coded seeds. I think the Church was something his Mate, from India, was growing in a small Garden. Hopefully, it's isolated enough from the Landrace strains that it won't cross pollinate. Otherwise you might see a Strain Hunters video on White Rino, Church, and Arjans Haze Charos. He couldn't be that stupid, could he?

That was my worry. What happens to the Landrace strains when they hand out their free coloured seeds to local farmers. Isn't there a part in the video were they are talking about Church and the local farmer is complaining about males, then Franco says '100% greenshouse feminised quality, no doubt'. Kind of BS as Arjan says himself that the plants are full of seeds. If their hermies cross polinate fields of Landrace for a few dollars more then more people should be avoiding their shit like a big green back commercial plague.

I've no issue with greenhouse but pushing their seeds on farmers to grow alongside Landrace is fucked up.
