Apartment trouble, urgent!

Post by atemate »

FUCK ASS!

Going to Dam on monday, yeah that's three days from now, and got an email few hours back from bob's youth hostel: "sorry to tell you this but the apartment you have booked has suffered some serious water damage and we have to cancel your booking"

Ok, so now in need of accommodation and fast. The only place I really think is an option is A1 Haarlemmerstraat, as amsterdam cribs is fully booked. Anyone ever stayed there, is it ok? The price is right and the website says it's smoke friendly: "Haarlemmerstraat is a bustling place, full of...plenty of coffee shops, bars...and is home to Barneys breakfast bar, the famous coffeeshop / breakfast place which opens 7am daily. Full of folks smoking big joints while eating full English breakfasts. "

I think this means you can smoke in the apartment cause it's a must for our trip.

Anything you have to say about this place, pleasy say it, and also recommendations for other apartments are appreciated. Going to stay for 4 nights, 18th-22nd, and we are a party of three. This should cost max 600€.

Thanks guys.

hey

im sorry to say i think the quote above is refering to barneys breakfast bar, and not an apartment. you can smoke and have breakfast at acouple of places on Haarlemerstraat, but those are coffeeshop not hotels/apartments.

Hi Atemate

What a horrible situation, I just flicked through the internet for you and came up with these if they are any help for your dates and around your budget. I used AmsterdamStay for my first visit and have rebooked up with them for my 2nd next week :)

Yeah I know, this was just to ask for Acders acceptance about the smoke friendliness of this place, 7th trip to dam. Got an email that this place is not available, hate this shit. You think you have all set and 2days before the trip something like this happens.

Thanks man, those looked great but I'm afraid they're all a bit out of our price range. The apt we booked was supposed to cost 480e so over 600e is just too much. As A1 was booked that leaves us with the joordan apt, going call there a bit later if nothing else turns up, so thanks once more.

Ok, booked Amsterdam Central BnB, apt 1 on warmoestraat. Got a nice discount and the place looks really really nice, 100m^2 for the three of us! :D :D

Hope that smoking there doesn't turn out to be a problem. High hopes, but at least I'll be high.

What is the name of these apartments & how much are they per night?
