At least my anti-virus software appears to work

Is this a new one attempting to get onto your PC or and old one that is causing problems again?

Internet explorer and mcafee - I know, I know...
I should use firefox and mcafee is a load of shite - but it is licensed through work and we have to have it.
I've just detected 9 more from my on demand scan.
I'm about to 'on demand' admit myself to a psych ward at this rate

If you machine is really infected, one option is to back up your data and that reformat the drive and do a clean install of your operating system and all software you use.
Do NOT attempt to do this by yourself, only as a last resort if that is what your IT dept chooses to do.
Good luck.

Thanks Marco that is what I had to do with my laptop.
Looks like the work PC is headed the same way.
Cheers - I'll bring my tower to 420 with me and let you have a go
