I'd backup your stuff onto a separate partition or hard drive, and re-install Winblow$...it's never the same after an infection of that magnitude...this chump who's supposedly fixed your laptop should be paying you back imho

Rufus have you tried running MALWARE BYTES ?
It is a free program, and does a fantastic job finding and eliminating malware.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Also, i'd try CYBERSCRUB, it is free for 30 days and is a directory clean up and bug killer.
It has never failed me, it is as strong of a program as is available.
Both are extremely easy to use.

Malware bytes is good,Ive just used to a trial version of "trojan remover" & it was ok,I had a virus about a month ago that took me about 2 weeks to get rid fully,If you have "virtu mondo" virus its a re-boot job i am afraid,Ps try http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage as its helped me in the past! just get the basic version & run it! even if it doesnt update it may well get rid of the virus as it may be an old one.

Free anti-virus softwares are a waste of time, for what it costs I'd pay for a decent one like Kaspersky.

Not necessarily true boner, imo Kaspersky is a steaming pile of Dog excrtetment a couple of the free ones are far and away the best. Avira is one the best rated AV out there (I use it and have had zero problems) and avast isnt too shoddy either. The only AV I would spend any money on is eset Nod32. rufus I use Malwarebytes Anti-malware, Avira free and Microsoft security essentials and have had no complaints.

The guy who 'fixed' my laptop mentioned the microsoft one from memory. Once I finally get rid of the wee bastards I will update my anti-virus with something that works. Cheers 8)
