Movie Theaters in Amsterdam

Post by Italizilian »

One of my favorite things to do when I get high is to go see a movie. It's even better if I can take a pot brownie or something with me, so the effect lasts longer and I can feel the movie much more intensely.

So what are Movie Theaters like in Amsterdam? Do they play American movies with the original audio in English and Dutch subtitles, or do they do it like here in Italy where they dub it in the local language? And do they allow you to bring food from outside?

We always go to the movies while in Amsterdam.
They show American films and put up the subtitles in Dutch, which is great.
Of the two different theaters we went to the one across the street from the tulip market was the most modern.
Give yourself extra time to line up as you line up inside to get from the concession area to the theater part.
We brought our own treats in my knapsack, so you should be fine.

also went to the one across the tulip/flower market
it's on vijzelstraat

you should buy your ticket at least an hour before the show
go do your thing
and then walk in and not have to deal with a thing
except finding your seat

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I'll have a good time. Hopefully there will be some good movies in the theaters when I'm there. 8)
